Hinterland Field Archery Club Inc
A non profit organisation servicing the Gold Coast Community. We provide a safe and fun atmosphere for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy the sport of Field Archery. Our Club is affiliated with the 3D Archery Association of Australia and the Archery Alliance of Australia for insurance purposes and governing body leadership.
Field Archery is a safe and healthy sport which combines the discipline of Archery with bushwalking. We have 4 ranges set up on 30 hectares of natural bushland at which targets are set at various distances. Archers walk around these ranges, estimate the distance before shooting arrows. There is also a range for sighting in equipment and a range for general practice.
The Committee would like to acknowledge the substantial support from the Gold Coast City Council in providing assistance through their rates donation programme. Very much appreciated!
We cater for many divisions of equipment and styles from bare bow style to open class equipment with all the bells and whistles. You are not required to use expensive state of the art equipment to enjoy the sport.
The club is open every Sunday for new comers to come along and try the sport. Once you have joined the club and completed the three month trial period you will be eligible for full membership which allows you to apply for a key for the front gate that will allow access to the club grounds during day light hours.
On becoming a full member of the club you will be encouraged to participate in all club activities including working to help setup the ranges and general maintenance of the club’s grounds. You will have to abide by the Club Rules and Regulations and any directions given by Club Officials.
Our club has toilets, showers and kitchen facilities. Light refreshments, tea and coffee can be purchased from our shop at a very reasonable cost.
Come and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the Premier Archery Club in South East Queensland, a number of our members are past and present Australian Champions, they have a wealth of knowledge in the sport and are always ready to assist new members.
